DSSC visits state universities in Northern Mindanao
Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) conducted benchmarking activities in three states universities in Northern Mindanao on April 6-8, 2022.
Dr. Augie E. Fuentes, DSSC President headed the team composed of members of DSSC Executive Committee and other key personnel of the college. They went to University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) in Cagayan de Oro City; Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) in Iligan City, and Central Mindanao University in Maramag, Bukidnon.
On April 6, 2022, Dr. Ambrosio B. Cultura II, USTP President warmly welcomed the DSSC delegation. After the courtesy call held at the Office of the President, a walkthrough discussion was conducted where USTP shared the best practices of their Admin and Finance Division, Engineering and Infrastructure Division, and Procurement and Supply Division. A discussion on Academic and RDE policies and operations between personnel of the two institutes was also held.
On April 7, 2022, the team visited MSU-IIT where Atty. Alizedney M. Ditucalan, MSU-IIT Chancellor personally showed the entire campus. Atty. Ditucalan, together with his academic and administrative key officials, discussed with the team the four procedural executive functions of MSU-IIT together with Human Resource Management, and Gender and Development.
Finally, on April 8, 2022, the team was accommodated by CMU headed by Dr. Jesus Antonio G. Derije, CMU President. Dr. Derije and other key CMU personnel also shared how they operated their Admin and Finance Division, Engineering and Infrastructure Division, and Procurement and Supply Division, among other academic and administrative offices.
DSSC initiated the three-day benchmarking to effectively operate and serve the various clienteles of the college and provide quality education and services to all its stakeholders. (Shawn Medina, DSSC-PAO)
