DSSC to graduate 11 magna cum laude

 

Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) will conduct its in-person 3rd Commencement Exercises on July 29, 2022 at the Davao del Sur Coliseum, Digos City.

 

There are 11 candidates for graduation who will receive the Latin distinction of magna cum laude and six cum laude.

 

Leading the top honors is Violita P. Dacula, Bachelor of Science in Accounting Information System; and followed by Judy Ann C. Lelis, Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English.

 

They are followed by Honey Mae C. Plaza (BEED); Marjorie G. Taran (BEED); Lanie M. Rivas (BSED- Mathematics); Miraflor M. Iglesia (BSAIS); Ara A. Entoma (BSAIS); Anne Marie Bianco D. Ballaso (BSED- Mathematics); Rica Joy D. Albania (BEED); Camille M. Pantalita (BEED); and Carla Janna B. Octora (BSDC).

 

Also graduating with honors are six cum laude namely: Marjorie Yee (BSAIS); Graciela Rica M. Rodriguez (BSAIS); Judit A. Valencia (BSDC); Jaika Banawan (BSDC); Lancelie A. Ramos (BEED); and Jhone Dee L. Alvarado (BSAIS).

 

The Best Undergraduate Thesis will be awarded to Karl Vincent A. Surdella, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, and the Best Graduate Thesis will be awarded to Rey PZ P. Abasolo, Master of Arts in Education major in Language Teaching.

 

Meanwhile, Wally T. Carcedo, Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering and former DSSC Student Trustee will be awarded with the College Leadership Award and Service Award as Student Trustee of DSSC Board of Trustees (BOT).

 

Dacula will speak on behalf of the graduating class composed of some 700 candidates for graduation.
