IGPE cebrates Gradschool Fest




Spearheaded by the Graduate School Supreme Student Council, the Institute of Graduate and Professional Education (IGPE) conducted its first Graduate School Fest last February 18, 2023, at the Davao del Sur State College gymnasium.


The Vice-President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Siverlyn M. Camposano, welcomed the students and encouraged them to always get involved and participate in all of the activities conducted by the institution.


Meanwhile, Dr. Amelie T. Bello, the IGPE Dean, discussed general information about the institute and what the students can expect from each of its programs.


Dr. Jeric Anthony Arnado, the Director for Student Affairs and Services, enlightened the IGPE students on the non-academic policies of the College, highlighting the newly proposed rules of conduct when entering the campus.


The MAEd-Language Teaching Program Head and GSSSC Adviser, Dr. Ana Marie J. Matalines, introduced the roster of top-caliber professors from the Master of Business Administration and Master of Arts in Education major in Educational Management, Mathematics Teaching, Science Teaching, and Language Teaching.


Among the highlights of the activity were the awarding of certificates of service to the GSSSC adviser and officers, the giving of surprise prize coupons to seven lucky students, and the election of a new set of GSSSC officers.


"I am ending my term with the assurance of a clean and transparent turnover of responsibility to the next GSSSC president, reassuring IGPE of my assistance in the future," Malinao said.


Rodceal Malinao, the outgoing GSSSC President, concluded the gathering with a promise of more activities to be conducted for the next batches since the major needs in the student organization were already established during their term.
