DAVAO DEL SUR STATE COLLEGE WRAPS UP 2023

BY LOOKING BACK AT THE PERFORMANCE OF EVERY

INSTITUTE AND LAYING OUT PLANS FOR 2024 AND BEYOND

The college recently organized a comprehensive two-day Year-End Institutional Performance and Planning to evaluate overall performance in its key areas — Instruction, Research, Extension, Internationalization, and Governance.

The event provided a detailed analysis of progress in each area and identified zones for improvement. The event was a valuable opportunity for the college to reflect on past performance and to strategically and effectively plan for the future.

Additionally, Dr. Fuentes presented the accomplishments, financial status, development of campuses, and the 2024-2028 Roadmap of the college, aligned with the Davao Region Development Plan 2023-2028.

During the presentation of accomplishments, it was evident how far the college had come — faculty and students getting recognition in different fields, to name some of the successes. She then challenged everyone to continue and even achieve greater heights.

Subsequently, the administration, faculty, and staff of DSSC sat during the Learning and Development session that focused on learning about the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT): Tools for Stress Management, a widely practiced stress management tool discussed by the guest speaker, Dr. Gina R. Lamzon, RGC, an expert in psychology. It was a valuable opportunity for the college's community to enhance their well-being.

Dr. Fuentes noted that the topic was essential to the college's workforce as the most important of all the resources in management is its people. She added that the accomplishments and progress were possible because of the dedication and commitment of the faculty members, staff, and administrators.

The night of games and gift-giving has made everyone cheer. It was not a celebration of success but a thanksgiving for all who went above and beyond to make Davao del Sur State College the institution that it is today.

2023 has been good; 2024 will be better.

Kudos, DSSC!
