DSSC Showcases e-HRIS Modules to the Civil Service Commission
Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) consistently delivers top-tier Digital Transformation solutions to government agencies nationwide.
On June 13, 2024, the DSSC ICT-Center team, led by Dr. Felomino P. Alba, demonstrated the twelve modules of the electronic Human Resource Information System (e-HRIS) at the Civil Service Commission Regional Office 11. The event was graced by the Regional Director and Provincial Directors from the Davao Region Office. Dr. Alba, along with Jezreel Loquinario, ICT-Center staff and web developer, highlighted the importance of Digital Transformation for responsive public service and alignment with the national eight-point agenda.
DSSC aims to partner with the CSC to foster a people-centric society by utilizing digitalization as a tool to efficiently serve the public. This initiative is part of DSSC's broader mission to promote transparency, efficiency, and accessibility in government operations. By integrating advanced digital solutions, DSSC is not only improving internal processes but also enhancing the overall citizen experience.
DSSC -ICTC is the primary entity responsible for the institution's Digital Transformation. The ICTC team develops all automation services to meet the needs of employees, students, and clients. The shift from manual to digital processes aims to enhance efficiency and provide effective responses to public and community needs. DSSC and the Civil Service Commission (CSC) are planning to sign a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to further strengthen their partnership.
This initiative also highlights the extension services provided by faculty and students from the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) and Bachelor of Science in Information Systems (BSIS) programs offered at the Institute of Computing, Engineering, and Technology (ICET). By fostering these collaborations, DSSC aims to integrate academic expertise with practical applications, benefiting both the institution and the broader community.
Additionally, the ICT-Center's efforts align with DSSC's strategic vision of becoming a leader in educational innovation and public service excellence. The planned MOA with CSC is expected to open new avenues for collaborative projects, research opportunities, and internships for students, thereby enriching their learning experiences. These endeavors are part of DSSC's commitment to harnessing technology to drive sustainable development and improve service delivery. Through continuous innovation and partnership, DSSC is poised to make significant contributions to the digital landscape of public service in the Philippines. (F. Alba) |
