The Role of Technology in SMART Agriculture Online Lecture Series Chapter 2 takes place
The Chapter Two of the Online Lecture Series on The Role of Technology in SMART Agriculture by Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) and Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) materialized last June 20, 2024 via Zoom.
Dr. Domingo Origenez Jr., speaker from DSSC discussed Artifical Intelligence on SMART Farming on Food Security. Traditionally, monitoring the health and productivity of livestock has been labor-intensive and often reactive. However, with AI-powered sensors and data analytics, farmers can now monitor individual animal health metrics, such as temperature, heart rate, and feeding patterns, in real-time.
He also empahasized that AI may boost farming efficiency. He introduced AI-driven platforms in different areas of agriculture such as SmaxTec for Dairy Farming, SenseHub by Allflex, Smartbow and many others.
“The probability of giving a high-level response depends on the person’s ability and question difficulty”, Feri Wijayanto, speaker from UII remarked in his session on Leveraging Machine Learning to Revolutionize Question Analysis. He shared that uses of questionnaires in farming are for data collection and measurement.
He elaborated on how AI models, trained on vast repositories of survey responses, can distill complex feedback into actionable intelligence. This approach not only aid in market predictions but also empowers organizations to tailor their strategies to meet evolving consumer demands. (DSSC IARO) |
