DSSC and MAGSIGE MPC Forge Partnership to Boost Coffee Industry

 
 
 
 
 
Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) and MAGSIGE MPC (Manuel Guianga and Sirib Growers and Employees) Multipurpose Cooperative have entered into a strategic partnership to enhance the coffee production and cooperative services in Davao del Sur and Davao City last September 10, 2024.
 
 
Following her reappointment as the College President on September 09, 2024, at the (Place), Dr. Augie E. Fuentes, went straight to Malagos Garden Resort, Davao City along with Regie D. Patagoc, the Center Head for Coffee Research and Innovation Center to formalize the partnership between DSSC and MAGSIGE MPC through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed by DSSC President Augie E. Fuentes, Ph.D., and MAGSIGE CEO Agripino Torres.
 
 
The partnership between DSSC and MAGSIGE MPC will primarily focus on Davao City and Davao del Sur, areas where MAGSIGE MPC has established itself as a Rural Development Hub (RDH) under ACDI VOCA and aims to leverage the strengths of both institutions to improve the coffee industry in the region which addresses 𝐒𝐃𝐆 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) and 𝐒𝐃𝐆 𝟏𝟕 (Partnerships for the Goals).
 
 
The formalization of this partnership is a manifestation of Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) under the leadership of Dr. Augie E. Fuentes’ undying commitment to enhancing the lives of the locals by boosting the marketability of local coffee, driving economic growth and sustainability for coffee growers in the region.
