Selected DSSC employees attended the orientation workshop and action planning for the declaration of Altut tuna, Matanao, Davao del Sur as LSA and UGGGP nomination of MT. APO: plans and projects.
Project Team Members from Davao del Sur State College, led by the college President, Dr. Augie E. Fuentes, attended the orientation workshop and action planning for the upcoming Declaration of “Altut Tuna” as Local Conservation Arta of Matanao, Davao del Sur last September 20, 2024 at the Protected Area Management Office Mt. Apo natural Park in Sitio Baras, Brgy. Kapatagan, Digos City, Davao del Sur. The orientation commenced with welcome remarks by Mr. Clint Michael Cliofe ,DMO III/ OIC PASu, MANP followed by an Opening Remarks and Acknowledgement of Participants by Dr. Fuentes. The CENR Officer of Malalag, For. Ruel D. Colong, M.Sc discussed the LCA Framework and the Brief intro on UGGp and background on the aspiration of MANP for inscription as UGGp. Next, DMO III/ OIC PASu, MANP, Mr. Clint Michael Cleofe shared the LCA Experience/Models of Agusan del Sur and Taragona DavOr and also gave an update and milestone on MANP’s aspiration to be inscribed as UGGp. Lastly, CDO I/ DENR XI, Ms. Cylle Marie N. Cleofe facilitated the LCA Workshop and the Action Planning and Ways forward.
