DSSC Opens Food Park to Improve Campus Life and Support Local Businesses

The Davao del Sur State College Business Enterprise Office conducted the soft opening program of the DSSC Food Park on September 23, 2024.

The event began with opening remarks from the BEO Director, Dr. Eric Rellon, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony and message from College President Dr. Augie E. Fuentes.

Establishing a food park provides strategic advantages by enhancing campus life and utilizing underused spaces effectively. This initiative offers diverse food options while supporting small businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs within the college community. Furthermore, the food park will transform previously underused areas of campus into productive, revenue-generating spaces, creating a steady income stream for DSSC.

This revenue can be reinvested into the college to fund projects and improvements that benefit the entire community. It contributes to the institution's financial growth and sustainability. This proactive strategic move demonstrates DSSC's commitment to leveraging its resources for the benefit of its community and improving the quality of life on campus to ensure long-term institutional sustainability.
