The Guinness World Record Attempt for Most People Planting Bamboo Simultaneously is brought by the theme, "𝘒𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘩𝘢𝘯: 𝘈 𝘊𝘪𝘳𝘤𝘶𝘭𝘢𝘳 𝘌𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘰𝘮𝘺 𝘔𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵," which is an initiative to raise awareness on the potential of bamboo to promote Circular Economy, Climate Resilience, and Sustainability.

Preparations for the event started as early as 4 o'clock in the morning, multiple vehicles waited in the LYR Marketing, Digos City, to transport participants, particularly the selected 160 students from the ROTC unit of DSSC.

Upon the arrival at the venue was a registration and the conduct of a preliminary orientation regarding the criteria for the Guinness World Records Attempt, by which they have outlined the expected flow of the bamboo planting attempt and as well as the restrictions by which students and participants must comply in order to avoid an invalid attempt.

Leading to set the record from the Matanao Group was the DSSC College President, 𝘿𝙧. 𝘼𝙪𝙜𝙞𝙚 𝙀. The official start of the bamboo planting was exactly at 9 o'clock in the morning by which the countdown was led by the College President, 𝘿𝙧. 𝘼𝙪𝙜𝙞𝙚 𝙀. 𝙁𝙪𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙨, signifying the start of the planting of bamboos by which the participants are only given 30 minutes to plant in order to coincide with the planting timeframe of the other venues.

After the planting session was another hour of waiting for the participants inside the venue and upon exiting was another queue for the scanning of their QR codes, double-checking the headcount of participants inside the venue to increase the validity and reliability of the Guinness attempt results.

The attendees of the Guinness attempt then proceeded to the awarding of participants and as well as the giving of certificates towards notable guests from different governmental and private organizations, as they participate and bear witness on the attempt in making history.
