Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) recently participated in the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP)’s annual conference, “Bayanihan 2024,” held from November 6-8 at Cavite State University. This year’s theme, “Moving Together Toward Accreditation 4.0 to Advance Quality Assurance in the Digital Age,” brought leaders and experts together to advance digital strategies in higher education accreditation.
The DSSC delegation, composed of President Dr. Augie E. Fuentes, VPAA Dr. Siverlyn Camposano, Dr. Cindy B. Rosil, Dr. Cherry Ann Roxas, Dr. Queenie Lyn Almerez, Dr. Amelie Trinidad, Dr. Ana Marie Matalines, and QA Officer Roayda Hasim, joined academic leaders from various State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) at the event. They attended keynote sessions, discussions, and hands-on sessions on emerging technologies like AI, augmented reality, and data analytics, which highlighted their impact on quality assurance and accreditation.
The conference also allowed DSSC’s representatives to exchange ideas on national and international best practices, fostering collaboration to enhance education quality. Their participation in Bayanihan 2024 underscores DSSC’s commitment to adopting cutting-edge accreditation practices, reinforcing its dedication to providing high-quality education.
