Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) organized its In-House Extension Proposal Review 2025 on March 21, 2025 at Arnaldo's Hotel and Restaurant, Digos City. Twenty-five extension proposals underwent presentation at the event wherein their proponents received evaluation and project refinement. The assessment aimed to verify that submitted proposals followed DSSC's extension directives and addressed effectively the requirements of collaborating communities. All proponents actively participated to achieve successful planning and subsequent implementation of their individual projects.
The evaluation process was directed by experts Dr. Gilbert A. Importante along with Dr. Misael B. Clapano. Dr. Importante, Professor from the University of Southeastern Philippines headed SMARRDEC while bringing recognition for e-learning management and data analysis and precision agriculture expertise. Dr. Misael B. Clapano, an Associate Professor of Davao Oriental State University and Vice President for Research Innovation and Extension applied his specialized knowledge of agricultural sciences and community development. The project assessment benefited significantly from their joint expertise which ensured the assessment of both quality and practicality.
The successful execution of the In-House Extension Proposal Review 2025 shows DSSC’s dedication to create sustainable community development through meaningful extension activities. The proponents have adapted their proposals after working with experienced evaluators so they can successfully execute projects that lead to sustainable development within their target communities. The event represents a major advancement in DSSC extension programs effectiveness as well as their capability to build better relationships with local communities.
