Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) welcomed the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Caraga Region for a benchmarking activity on March 1, 2023.

DOST Caraga Senior Research Specialist Dr. Razel C. Gamba and Ms. Margarette Faye U. Bito paid a courtesy visit to Dr. Augie E. Fuentes, college president, to benchmark the complete composition and operation of the coffee cupping laboratory as well as the Robusta coffee nursery.

Prof. Regie Patagoc, the coffee cupping laboratory in-charge, presented the accomplishments and initiatives of the college for the coffee sector in the province.

This activity aimed to share the best practices of the college that may help DOST-Caraga in their plan of establishing their first Sensory Evaluation Laboratory project, which will include allocating a coffee cupping area with the goal of attaining high-quality Robusta coffee.
