Davao del Sur State College proudly joins in celebrating the success of the Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan – Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI-CIDSS) Cash-for-Work Program, as 436 beneficiaries from the College received their well-deserved compensation during the culminating activity and payout held today, July 24, 2025, at DSSC, Digos City.
Davao del Sur State College is deeply honored to be one of only three academic institutions in Mindanao chosen to participate in this impactful initiative, alongside Davao del Norte State College and Davao Oriental State University. This partnership exemplifies the College’s unwavering commitment to advancing Sustainable Development Goal 1: No Poverty, by creating livelihood opportunities and empowering individuals through productive community engagement.
The KALAHI-CIDSS Cash-for-Work Program, spearheaded by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), provides temporary employment opportunities to beneficiaries, including students and fresh graduates. Through their deployment in various offices and learning institutions within their communities, the program fosters economic resilience, dignity in labor, and social inclusion, reinforcing the value of collective effort in addressing poverty.
Davao del Sur State College extends its heartfelt gratitude to the DSWD and the KALAHI-CIDSS Program for their trust and partnership. Together, we continue to uphold our shared vision of empowering communities, reducing poverty, and building a future where progress is both inclusive and sustainable.
