Davao del Sur State College held a bloodletting activity on December 16, 2025 through its School Infirmary in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross Davao del Sur Chapter. The activity was conducted in line with Republic Act No. 7719, or the National Blood Services Act of 1994.

The activity focused on promoting voluntary non remunerated blood donation as required by law. Faculty members, staff, and students participated as donors to help support the availability of safe blood for medical use.

The College highlighted that blood donation plays an important role in the maintenance of the national blood services system. Blood gathered from voluntary donors is a part of hospital needs, especially in times of emergencies and medical treatments.

The activity forms part of the College’s support for public health initiatives. It relates to the Sustainable Development Goal on Good Health and Well Being (SDG 3) by encouraging participation in programs that help maintain access to safe and sufficient blood supply
