Davao del Sur State College closed the year with a Learning and Development Activity and Fellowship Night held on December 19, 2025 at the Crisbelle Crown Center in Digos City, Davao del Sur. The activities brought together College officials and employees for an afternoon of reflection and learning, followed by an evening program focused on fellowship and shared celebration.

The afternoon session centered on institutional direction and professional development. Participants took part in discussions on target setting and alignment, along with a learning session facilitated by the invited resource speaker Liezel S. Lopez, RGC, Chief Operating Officer of LSL Counseling and Testing Center. The activity provided time for College personnel to review priorities, clarify expectations, and reflect on the work completed during the year. It also allowed offices to reconnect with the broader goals of the institution before the year ended.

In the evening, the Fellowship Night offered a more relaxed setting for employees to gather. After dinner and brief opening remarks from College President Dr. Augie E. Fuentes. The President, reminding the community the value of service and collective responsibility within the academic community, ”This holiday season, we are invited to offer our own gifts: our dedication, our talents, our kindness, and our shared commitment to the vision, mission, and goals of Davao del Sur State College” she said. The program continued with the showing of the College Christmas ID, a group pictorial, and activities prepared by employees. Games, presentations, and a raffle draw followed, giving participants a chance to interact beyond their usual work roles.

Taken together, the two activities balanced learning and community. The Learning and Development session supported professional growth and shared accountability, while the Fellowship Night strengthened relationships and foster mental wellness across offices through simple moments of participation and conversation.

The activities support Sustainable Development Goal 4, which focuses on Quality Education, by promoting continuous learning among employees. They also relate to Sustainable Development Goal 17, which highlights Partnerships for the Goals, by fostering cooperation and shared responsibility within the College community.
