The Quality Assurance Team headed by Ms Roayda Hasim of Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) attended the AACCUP Seminar-Workshop on Outcomes-Based Quality Assurance held on July 9–11, 2025, at Century Park Hotel, Manila. Organized by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), Inc., the seminar aimed to provide orientation and training to new accreditors, internal QA staff, and non-academic personnel from various State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) nationwide. The three-day activity featured sessions on accreditation principles, OBQA frameworks, documentation practices, and ethical responsibilities. Highlights included discussions by Dr. Anthony M. Penaso, Dr. Raul F. Muyong, and CHED Commissioner Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis, who emphasized the importance of continuous quality improvement. “Outcomes-based quality assurance is not just a requirement—it is a responsibility to raise the standard of education for every Filipino learner,” Dr. Agrupis said. Participants also engaged in group workshops focusing on action planning, institutional profiling, and the roles of internal QA teams in accreditation. The outputs were presented and discussed in an open forum, allowing for shared insights and collaborative learning. The DSSC QA team expressed appreciation for the opportunity to join the seminar, noting the relevance of the topics in strengthening the institution’s quality assurance system.
