The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology Female Dormitory in Digos City marked the Christmas season with the visit of Davao del Sur State College through its special Christmas Outreach Program on December 11, 2025. The activity was organized by the Extension and Community Relations Office led by Dr. Queenie Lyn G. Almerez, in coordination with JO3 Jesyl R. Pajarito, Unit Chief Paralegal, together with BJMP staff and interns. The gathering formed part of the “Life Behind Bars” program, which supports rehabilitation efforts and affirms the dignity of Persons Deprived of Liberty.

The Bachelor of Public Administration Program (BPA) of Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) conducted its first Concept Paper Workshop entitled “From Topic Idea to Proposal Guide” held on December 5, 2025, at the Development Communication Building. This is to establish the research foundation of the second-year BPA students with the skills necessary for formulating a well-structured concept paper. In adherence to the directive outlined in the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Memorandum Circular No. 24-004, mandating the translation of the one-page Freedom of Information (FOI) Manual into Filipino, in compliance with Executive Order No. 335, s. 1988, which promotes the use of the Filipino language in government transactions, and Executive Order No. 2, s. 2016, which operationalizes the People’s Constitutional Right to Information, DSSC has initiated the necessary steps to translate its FOI manual accordingly. By adhering to the PCO’s guidelines, the college ensures that its FOI process is accessible and understandable to the public, further promoting openness and responsiveness in public service.

The Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) logo has been granted trademark registration with number 4/2023/00508395 by the Intellectual Property Office of The Philippines (IPOPHIL) last August 19, 2023. As such, the DSSC Research and Innovation Office underscores that the utilization of the DSSC logo for commercial or personal purposes without prior authorization is absolutely prohibited. To protect the brand identity and exclusive rights, the institution must grant prior permission or license for any commercial or personal use of the logo. The purpose of this approach is to ensure protection against unauthorized use or commercial exploitation of the logo.
