The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region XI and the Philippine Women’s College of Davao (PWC Davao) Creative Hub for Innovation (CHI+) visited Davao del Sur State College for a project monitoring and benchmarking visit. The activity was focused on reviewing the implementation of the projects, learning exchange visits, and further strengthening collaborative efforts in innovation across the region.
The delegation was led by the Regional Director with personnel from PWC Davao and Provincial Science and Technology Office of Davao del Sur. The group visited the Regional Coffee Innovation Center and the Davao del Sur Innovation Hub, where they were briefed on the college’s innovation and entrepreneurship programs under the Community Empowerment thru Science and Technology and the Smart and Sustainable Communities Davao del Sur initiatives.
The representatives coming from DOST XI and PWC Davao shared best practices and explored opportunities for collaboration that will further improve the innovation ecosystem in the province. The discussions focused on DSSC’s strategies for innovation development, community growth, and sustainability.
Engaging in the benchmarking activity, along with sharing of knowledge, collaborative learning, and exchanging experiences with PWC Davao and DOST XI enhances DSSC’s commitment to support Global Sustainable Development Goals — SDG 4: Quality Education; SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure; SDG 17: Partnerships for achieving the Goals.
