DSSC Hosts SSU eHRMIS, Linux Server Management Training

Davao del Sur State College (DSSC), through the College of Information and Digital Sciences (CIDS), headed by their Dean Dr. Felomino P. Alba, in collaboration with the Information and Communication Technology Center (ICTC), facilitated a three-day training on Linux Server Management for delegates from Sulu State University (SSU) on April 27-29, 2026, at the DSSC SMART Hub.

The activity followed the SSU’s acquisition of the Electronic Human Resources Management Information System (eHRMIS), a system designed and developed internally by DSSC, as part of its digital transformation initiative. Prior to this training, a capacity-building training on eHRMIS was conducted for SSU personnel on March 23-27, 2026, in Jolo, Sulu.

The SSU delegation, led by Digital Transformation Office Head Adzhar A. Abduhadi alongside nine of his personnel, participated in the training to enhance their technical competencies in managing and sustaining digital infrastructure.

The opening program was held on April 26, 2026, formally welcoming the participants, while the closing program on April 29, 2026, was attended by DSSC President Dr. Augie E. Fuentes in person, and SSU President Charisma Ututalum, CESE, via Zoom.

This activity showcases DSSC actively sustaining its Digital transformation progress while continuing its efforts to share its developed technologies and expertise among higher education institutions, at the same time supporting the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 for Quality Education, SDG 9 for Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, and SDG 17 for Partnerships for the Goals.
