DSSC Takes Part in International Women’s Day Parade in Davao City

Davao del Sur State College joined the International Women’s Day Parade held on March 6, 2026 at Freedom Park along Roxas Avenue in Davao City.

Representatives from the College joined participants from government agencies, schools, and organizations across the Davao Region who gathered early in the morning for the activity. The parade formed part of the 116th International Women’s Month celebration.

The event was organized by the Integrated Gender and Development Division of the City Government of Davao. Carrying the theme “WE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society,” the gathering brought together different sectors to show support for the continued promotion of women’s rights and gender equality.

Participants assembled at Freedom Park before walking together along Roxas Avenue. The activity served as a simple but meaningful way for institutions and communities to express their shared commitment to creating spaces where women and men are given equal opportunities.

Through its participation, DSSC joined the wider call for stronger gender awareness and cooperation among institutions. The activity also reflects the goals of SDG 5 (Gender Equality) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), highlighting the role of collaboration in advancing inclusive and equitable communities.
