DSSC Supreme Student Council Pays Courtesy Visit to College President

The Supreme Student Council (SSC) of Davao del Sur State College called on College President Dr. Augie E. Fuentes at the start of Academic Year 2026-2027, opening what both sides described as a working relationship built on shared priorities for the year ahead.

The delegation was led by SSC President Mernie Joy S. Pardillo and included the executive officers, senators, and SSC representatives, along with SSC Adviser Roy T. Molina, MPA. The visit gave the incoming council a chance to present its priorities directly to the college administration, raise concerns about student welfare, and lay out the collaborative initiatives it hopes to pursue in the coming year.

Dr. Fuentes welcomed the student leaders and told them the administration would continue to support efforts that bring students into the life of the institution in a meaningful way.

For her part, SSC President Pardillo expressed the council’s intention to represent the student body with integrity and accountability, and to work with the administration rather than around it in addressing what students need.

The courtesy call supported SDG 4 (Quality Education) by promoting student leadership and participation in institutional affairs, SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) through transparent and cooperative governance between the college administration and the student government, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by strengthening the working relationship between both bodies in delivering programs and services for every DSSCian.
