Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) entered into an MOU with Braveheart Farms on January 23, 2026 to give students on-the-job experience through its one-month on-the-job training and internship program to its students.
The partnership was made official through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) document by DSSC officials and representatives of Braveheart Farms. Braveheart Farms will be a “learning site” for the College’s “Veterinary Tech and Animal Science” course students.
Accordingly, students of DSSC will get to experience actual farm settings of poultry production, goat farming, and cattle rearing to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting of agriculture. This will enrich students’ technical skills and practical knowledge important to the livestock production sector.
Braveheart Farms has agreed to host the interns without charging any fees on training. This demonstrates how the farm supports agriculture education. Moreover, the students will be provided with a token incentive at the end of the period as appreciation for the work they contributed to the training.
DSSC welcomes the collaboration as part of its ongoing efforts to increase the array of learning experiences and reinforce its connections to the industry to facilitate quality and relevant education. DSSC’s collaboration is also significant as it is in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, specifically to achieve its goals for SDG 4 – Quality Education, SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth, and SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals.
