DSSC Receives Two Recognitions from CHED Regional Office XI

Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) received two recognitions from the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office XI (CHED RO XI) during the Voices of ASEAN culmination program on October 22, 2026, in Davao City.

Representing the College were Dr. Siverlyn M. Camposano, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Roayda Hasim, Director of the Quality Assurance Office.

One plaque cited DSSC’s performance in two global assessments: the Times Higher Education Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026, where the College placed in the 1001–1500 bracket, and the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI), where it ranked 284th overall.

DSSC also received a certificate for its contribution to Voices of ASEAN, a year-long initiative of CHED RO XI and the International Relations Officers Network XI. The certificate cited the College’s support for the program “Prompt Engineering for Educators,” held on May 15, 2026, which covered AI literacy and digital teaching skills for educators across the ASEAN region.

The awarding formed part of the regional forum on sustainable internationalization and global citizenship education, which brought higher education institutions together to discuss academic cooperation and international engagement.

The recognitions relate to SDG 4 (Quality Education) through educational innovation and faculty development, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through collaboration among higher education institutions.
