Davao del Sur State College through its Wellness Technology, Health and Care (WellTechCare) Research Center, in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Davao del Sur, conducted a Virtual Research Writeshop on April 17, 2026.
The writeshop focused on enhancing 14 research concept proposals identified as 1st and 2nd priority projects for funding under the Regional Research Fund (RRF) 2026 of the Regional Health Research and Development Consortium XI (RHRDC XI).
With the aim to strengthen the development of full-blown health research and development proposals, the activity primarily engaged early-career researchers, providing them with technical guidance to refine their proposals and strengthen their capacity in health research development.
The session was facilitated by the DOST technical team led by Provincial Science and Technology Director Leslie Pearl Cancio-Dy, together with Christine Ester Flor Catoera, RPh of DOST XI, and RHRDC XI Research Ethics Committee Erika Danielle P. Agana, who provided expert inputs on research design, ethics, and proposal strengthening.
The activity showcases DSSC’s continuous support to advancing health-related researches, aligning with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3 for Good Health and Well-being, and SDG 17 for Partnerships for the Goals.
