Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) took part as a partner institution in the International Conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Computing, Engineering, and Science Education (inVENT) 2026, held on October 27, 2026, at Universitas Brawijaya, Indonesia.
Representing the College President for the keynote speech was Dr. Ana Marie J. Matalines, Director of the International Affairs and Relations Office. Dr. Cherry Ann P. Roxas, Director of the Research, Development and Innovation Office, also served as one of the conference’s plenary speakers and received the Best Presenter Award.
Organized under the Asia Technological University Network (ATU-Net), the conference carried the theme “Knowledge-Driven Innovation and Human-Centered Approaches for Building Resilient and Sustainable Socioeconomic Systems.” It brought together academic and research communities to discuss innovation and entrepreneurship in computing, engineering, and science education.
DSSC’s participation brought the College into discussions with international academic partners on research, innovation, and higher education. It also reflects the work of its international relations and research offices in building links with institutions beyond the Philippines.
The activity supports SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through academic exchange and institutional cooperation.
