Dr. Ana Marie J. Matalines, Director of the International Affairs and Relations Office of Davao del Sur State College, is attending the QS Higher Ed Summit: Asia Pacific 2026 in Bali, Indonesia. The summit runs from November 3 to 5, 2026, at the Bali International Convention Centre.
BINUS University is the host, with Universitas Padjadjaran and The Education University of Hong Kong as co-hosts. The summit carries the theme “Advancing Education for Purpose and Impact” and has drawn more than 1,000 delegates from universities across the region.
The programme looks at how internationalization, workforce readiness, and cross-border collaboration can be put to use for students and communities. It also takes up the question of how university partnerships can grow past single agreements into longer working relationships, and what role Asia Pacific institutions play in AI-driven research.
Internationalization is one of the college’s five pillars. Dr. Matalines’s attendance gives DSSC a seat among higher education leaders from the region and a chance to meet institutions that may become future partners in exchange, research, and academic programs.
The college’s participation supports SDG 4 (Quality Education) through its engagement with global higher education practice, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through its effort to build new links with universities in Asia Pacific.
