Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) officially launched the pilot batch of the Kawani Balik-Eskwela Project on September 26 via Google Meet.
This program opens another pathway for 45 working government officials and employees, as well as qualified bona fide residents of Davao del Sur, to pursue higher education through the Bachelor of Public Administration program.
The Kawani Balik-Eskwela Project, led by Dr. Augie E. Fuentes, College President, who spearheaded the initiative, is set for a five-year implementation period. The project adopts a flexible and blended weekend learning arrangement, with classes scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays to accommodate learners balancing public service, employment, family responsibilities, and academic goals.
The kickoff featured the orientation of the pilot batch and the introduction of faculty members who will handle the weekend classes.
Through the Kawani Balik-Eskwela Project, DSSC strengthens its support for lifelong learning and creates opportunities for more public servants and community members to pursue a college degree while continuing to serve their communities, contributing to SDG 4:Quality Education, which promotes inclusive education and lifelong opportunities for all.
