Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) formally entered into a partnership with the Global Education and Concierge Services Pte. Ltd. (GEC), through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on May 4, 2026, at the Dusit Thani Hotel, Davao City.
GEC is a Singapore-based company that specializes in designing and delivering curated experiential learning programs and professional development journeys.
DSSC was represented by the college President, Dr. Augie E. Fuentes, alongside the Vice-President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Siverlyn M. Camposano, while GEC was represented by Director Kohe Hasan.
Under this agreement, DSSC students from hospitality, tourism, business, and information technology programs may access structured learning opportunities abroad, including industry visits, job shadowing, and professional networking.
The partnership also opens opportunities for remote internships, mentorship, and possible employment pathways, supporting students’ preparation for global work environments.
Faculty and staff are also expected to benefit from exposure to international practices through leadership engagements, executive briefings, and industry-based learning sessions.
Both parties also agreed to explore additional collaborative initiatives as part of the partnership.
This MoU will be effective for one year and may be renewed unless otherwise terminated. It includes provisions on confidentiality, intellectual property, and dispute resolution in accordance with Singapore law.
This partnership supports DSSC’s efforts to expand international linkages and provide opportunities for academic and professional growth, which aligns with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 for Quality Education and SDG 17 for Partnerships for the Goals.
