



Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) through the College of Agriculture and Related Sciences – Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Technology (CARS-BSVT) program shared its expertise through two faculty members, serving as resource speakers during Royal Canin’s First Clinical Excellence Program for Veterinary Paraprofessionals, in partnership with the Philippine Veterinary Technologists and Nurses Association (PVTNA), on July 29-31, 2026, in Taytay, Rizal Philippines.
BSVT program Instructors Faith Nicole Moncada and Kenneth Vino shared a discussion on relevant topics for the professional development of veterinary paraprofessionals.
Instr. Moncada discussed “Emotional Resilience in the Workplace,” stressing the importance of resilience, adaptability, and professional well-being in handling the challenges of the veterinary profession.
Meanwhile, Instr. Vino discussed “Companion Animal Nutrition,” tackling the importance of proper nutrition in maintaining the health and well-being of companion animals.
Moncada and Vino’s participation supports the continuing development of DSSC’s veterinary program, aligning with various Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education); SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth); and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
