Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) conducted a benchmarking visit to Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) on September 22, focusing on the College’s experience in digital governance and the commercialization of its Electronic Human Resource Management Information System (eHRMIS).
Leading the DNSC delegation was Dr. Reir Erlinda E. Cutad, DIT, Vice President for Administration and Finance.
The visit focused on DSSC’s DigiGov initiative, particularly its use of eHRMIS as an income-generating project. Dr. Felomino P. Alba, DigiGov Project Manager, presented the initiative and shared the College’s experience in developing and implementing the system.
The DNSC delegation also participated in a project demonstration and visited selected DSSC facilities, including the ICTC Office, Computer Laboratory, Printing and Publishing Center, Food Park, Mini Theater, and BrewNiversity.
The benchmarking helped state colleges share their digital governance and related services and projects.
The activity contributes to implementing several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Digital improvements and associated technologies contribute to the achievement of SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure). The development of projects and activities aimed at generating income allows advancing toward SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth). The partnerships established for the implementation of this activity are reflected in SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
