Davao del Sur State College (DSSC), through its Job Placement Office (JPO), has been recognized as a National Nominee in the Search for Best Public Employment Service Office (PESO) under the Job Placement Office Category, in celebration of the 26th National Public Employment Service Office Congress on October 13–16, 2026, at the JPark Island Resort and Waterpark Convention Center in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.
The event brings together PESOs and job placement officers (JPOs), to strengthen employment facilitation and improve the delivery of public employment services nationwide. Mr. Arnie B. Grajo, MMS, represented the College, as the JPO.
In recognition of the college’s outstanding performance, Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region XI awarded DSSC one million pesos of DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP), which recognizes the office’s achievement and is intended to support its designated programs.
The national nomination reflects the collective efforts of DSSC, its Job Placement Office, and its partners in advancing employment facilitation and providing meaningful opportunities for students, graduates, and other constituents.
This recognition also highlights the shared commitment to strengthening employment services and supporting the implementation of employment programs of DOLE.
The said event also provides a platform for knowledge-sharing and collaboration among employment service offices. This also supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), and SDG 4 (Quality Education).
