DSSC Breaks Ground for Graduate Legacy Center

Davao del Sur State College broke ground for its Graduate Legacy Center on October 28, 2026, at the main campus. Officers from the Classes of 2024, 2025, and 2026 were present, along with representatives from the Office of Student Affairs and Services.

The center will serve as a permanent repository for yearbooks from each graduating batch, giving the college a dedicated space to keep a running record of its graduates.

College President Dr. Augie E. Fuentes expressed her gratitude for the initiative and recognized the class officers for taking the initiative upon themselves to give the college something that will last. Sean Anthony Villarejo, President of the Class of 2026, spoke on behalf of the graduates, thanking the institution for the years it gave them and for making room for this contribution.

The project came from the class officers themselves, with support from OSAS. When it opens, the center will give future students and alumni a place to look back on the college’s history through the records each graduating class left behind.

The project supports SDG 4 (Quality Education) by preserving institutional records of the college’s academic community, and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) through the protection of the college’s heritage for generations to come.
