DSSC Signs MOU with Universitas Padjadjaran of Indonesia

Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) and Universitas Padjadjaran (UNPAD) held a ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on Academic Collaboration on November 4, 2026. Unpad is a public university in Bandung, Indonesia.

Dr. Ana Marie J. Matalines, Director of the International Affairs and Relations Office, represented DSSC. UNPAD was represented by its Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Zahrotur R. Hinduan. The agreement itself carries the signatures of College President Dr. Augie E. Fuentes and UNPAD Rector Prof. Arief S. Kartasasmita.

Three UNPAD officials witnessed the signing. They were Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Ir. Suseno Amiens, Head of the Graduate School, Prof. Vijaya of the Faculty of Agriculture, and Dr. Kasno Pamungkas, who handles reputation and branding strategies.

The MOU is meant to carry forward scientific, research, and project cooperation between Indonesia and the Philippines. UNPAD was founded in 1957 and enrolls more than 36,000 students across 18 faculties and schools.

For DSSC, the agreement adds to its work under the internationalization pillar and opens a direct line to an Indonesian university with a wide academic range.

The signing supports SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through the formal link between DSSC and Universitas Padjadjaran.
