



Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) through its International Affairs and Relations Office (IARO), proudly deploys four Bachelor of Secondary Education students to Universitas Islam Sultan Agung (UNISSULA), Indonesia, for the 11th Batch of the SEA-Teacher Programme, from May 11 to June 5, 2026.
Representing DSSC in this international teaching immersion are BSEd Mathematics students Ms. Niña Jane D. Repollo and Ms. Kary Mae P. Reillo, together with BSEd Science students Ms. Jody Marich G. Villaluz and Ms. Sanrose T. Padua.
Guided by academic mentors and program coordinators, the participants will engage in meaningful cross-cultural and pedagogical learning experiences. They will be supported by the College of Teacher Education (CTED) Dean, Dr. Rosil, who will focus on Cross-Cultural Learning Journeys of Pre-Service Teachers in Southeast Asia’s Teacher Exchange Program; Instr. Jovanie Kief M. Putong, on Integrating Socio-Cultural Studies: the Muslim Filipinos/Bangsamoro Tribes in the Philippines; and Instr. Allyn Mae D. Rubio, on Teaching Mathematics through Realistic Mathematics Education: From Theory to Classroom Practice. Coordination and program guidance are led by SEA-Teacher Programme Coordinator Instr. Mary Lesley Jane R. Layson.
This programme provides immersive classroom exposure, cultural exchange, and collaborative teaching experiences with partner institutions in Southeast Asia. It aims to strengthen the students’ teaching competencies, intercultural understanding, and global readiness as future educators.
Through this global engagement and collaboration DSSC is showing its commitment to supporting students’ endeavors for a better future, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 for Quality Education, and SDG 17 for Partnerships for Goals.
