Dr. Camposano Presents Research at CPRN Summit in Jakarta

Dr. Siverlyn M. Camposano, Vice President for Academic Affairs of Davao del Sur State College, presented a research paper at the Centre Policy Research Network (CPRN) Summit 2026 in Jakarta, Indonesia, from June 9 to 11.

Her paper, “Reimagining Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Practices (IKSPs) within the Creative Economy in Southern Philippines,” was accepted for oral presentation at the three-day event.

The study examines how indigenous knowledge and cultural practices in the Southern Philippines connect to the creative economy, a subject that has drawn researchers and policymakers from across the region to the Jakarta summit.

Dr. Camposano’s attendance gave DSSC a seat in that conversation. College officials stated that the knowledge and connections she gained from the event are expected to benefit the college’s faculty, students, and the communities it serves.

Her research is linked to five United Nations Sustainable Development Goals: SDG 4 on Quality Education, SDG 5 on Gender Equality, SDG 10 on Reduced Inequalities, SDG 16 on Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, and SDG 17 on Partnerships for the Goals.
