Two academic leaders of Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) are currently undergoing the Elevating Leadership and Institutional Capacity Towards Excellence in Philippine Higher Education (ELITE PHE) of the Leadership Development Program (LDP) after successfully making it through the application process.
Siverlyn M. Camposano, Ph.D., Professor I and Vice-President for Academic Affairs and Cindy B. Rosil, Ed.D Associate Professor V and Dean for College of Education, officially began their ELITE PHE journey during the program’s opening ceremony on September 7, 2026.
Initiated by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) in collaboration with the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP), the ELITE PHE aims to strengthen the competencies, values, and strategic vision of State Universities and Colleges (SUC) administrators and academics in preparation for greater leadership roles.
Following the opening, Camposano and Rosil participated in a series of intensive face-to-face sessions at the DAP Conference Center in Tagaytay City. This includes Crash Course on Design Thinking on September 11-12, Strategic Leadership and Foresight for Excellence on September 14-16, and Personal Efficacy and Self-Mastery on September 17-19.
This week, the two DSSC academic leaders transitioned to online learning for the Higher Education Administration module, scheduled from September 22 to 25. The blended leadership program will continue with succeeding sessions and culminate in November with Stakeholder Sensing. The two-and-a-half program will conclude with a closing ceremony on November 25, 2026.
Their participation in ELITE PHE strengthens the college’s commitment to effective leadership and quality higher education, supporting SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions).
