DSSC FamConnectTeam Presents eDalaw+ to BJMP RO XI

Davao del Sur State College (DSSC), through the FamConnect Project Team from the College of Information and Digital Sciences (CIDS), formally presented its innovative eDalaw+ System to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology Regional Office XI – Regional Information and Communication Technology Management Division (BJMP RO XI-RICTMD) in an inception meeting at Maa, Davao City, on March 26, 2026.

The team was led by Assi. Prof Rhea Mae L. Perito, together with project members, Instr. Razel Ann Aguilar, Instr. Karl Vincent Surdella, Instr. Richie Boy Restauro, Instr. Kaye Antoinette Panaligan, and Instr. Shallah Nabangue, who helped present the project to the representatives of BJMP RO XI-RICTMB and Welfare and Development (WDD) represented by Legal Officer Atty. Jay Bert Adang, alongside JO3 Rolando J. Rabia Jr., JO Darell P. Pulvera, JO1 Ken B. Masanguid, JO1 Chito Rey Olaguer, and JO1 Zyldj Brian S. Cabilogan.

The eDalaw+ System is a digital platform designed to streamline communication between Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) and their families, ensuring humane rehabilitation through accessible and secure visitation channels. By leveraging technology, this project is strengthening public service delivery and promoting inclusivity within the correctional system.

This project shows DSSCs commitment to inclusive progress in innovation and social responsibility, harnessing digital solutions to uphold justice, improve public service, and ensure that the marginalized groups remain connected to their families, functioning in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 16 for Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, SDG 9 for Industry, and Infrastructure, and SDG 10 for Reduced Inequalities.
