Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) joined the first session of the Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence-Embedded Systems Governance (PRIME-ESG) Rollout on August 17-18, 2026, at Seda Vertis North, Quezon City.
Organized by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) under the Philippine Civil Service Modernization Project (PCSMP), the rollout is to be conducted through two progressive sessions, with the second session scheduled on August -26, 2026.
The first session provided participating government agencies with an introduction to the PRIME-ESG framework, which included discussions and activities on organizational readiness, governance, and the transition toward improved systems and practices.
Representing DSSC were College President Dr. Augie E. Fuentes, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Siverlyn M. Camposano, and Human Resource Management Officer III Marie Gian Nicole D. Sombillo, RPm, who acquired new opportunities to better understand the program and assess how its principles may be applied to further strengthen the College’s existing governance and administrative systems.
This participation shows support to the college’s goal in identifying practical ways to improve its existing systems and administrative practices in line with current civil service standards, aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 16 for Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, and 17 for Partnerships for the Goals.
