DSSC Partners with SSS to Strengthen Employees’ Welfare through the KaSSSangga Collect Program

Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) has officially entered a Memorandum of Agreement with the Social Security System (SSS) for the implementation of the KASSSANGGA Collect Program, on May 12, 2026, at the DSSC Boardroom.

This memorandum aims to strengthen social security protection for DSSC personnel, particularly Contracts of Service (COS) and Job Order (JO) employees, by providing access to SSS membership and benefits.

Under this agreement, COS and JO personnel will be registered as self-employed members, allowing them to access benefits such as sickness, maternity, disability, retirement, and death benefits. Regular and permanent employees who are already SSS members may continue their contributions as voluntary members.

As part of the implementation, DSSC will facilitate the automatic deduction and remittance of monthly SSS contributions of participating personnel to ensure continuous membership coverage.

Aside from contribution collection and remittance, SSS will also conduct on-site registration activities, UMID card enrollment, and information seminars on SSS benefits and loan privileges for the DSSC community.

DSSC was represented by the College President, Dr. Augie E. Fuentes, alongside Vice-President for Admin and Finance, Dr. Luciano D. Nasibog Jr., Vice-President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Siverlyn M. Camposano, College Accountant, Gleffele Loua A. Pahila, CPA; Budget Officer, Dianh Meryl G. Dana, CPA; Human Resource Management Officer, Marie Gian Nicole Sombillo; and Evangelist, Excel Javelona, representing Legal Officer II, Atty. Shandy Garcia and other DSSC staff members. Meanwhile, SSS was represented by its Vice President of Mindanao South I Division, Mary Ellen A. Estoque, CEO II of SSS Digos Branch, Baldwin P. Floresca, Acting Branch Head of SSS Digos, Siarina S. Piatos, alongside other SSS personnel.

This initiative shows DSSC’s support for initiatives that promote employee welfare, financial security, and inclusive access to social protection, aligning with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 1 for No Poverty, and SDG 8 for Decent Work and Economic Growth.
