Davao del Sur State College(DSSC) President, Dr. Augie E. Fuentes joined the 2nd Quality Assurance Summit and Conferment Ceremony organized by the National Network of Quality Assurance Agencies (NNQAA), Inc., at The Heritage Hotel Manila on March 5-7, 2026.
With the theme “Responsible Future: Quality Assurance in Action,” the summit gathered leaders from different State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) and Local Colleges and Universities (LCUs) from across the country.
The gathering will formally confer Certificates of Accreditation to SUCs and LCUs whose programs and institutions were certified from the year 2022 to 2025. It will also serve as a platform for academic leaders, accreditors, and education stakeholders to exchange best practices and discuss quality assurance initiatives.
Participants will discuss several topics related to quality assurance, including the revised Philippine Qualifications Framework, lifelong learning and micro-credentials, internationalization, and the role of quality assurance in responding to the incessant changes in the education sector.
The summit is organized by NNQAA in coordination with the accrediting bodies of the Accrediting Agency of Chartered College and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) and the Association for Local Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (ALCUCOA).
DSSC’s active participation showcases the college’s continuous strengthening of its quality assurance practices, supporting the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 4 of Quality Education.
