DSSC Receives National Semifinalist Award at Gawad Lingkod Bayani Pagpupugay 2026

Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) received its award as a National Semifinalist in the 2026 Gawad Lingkod Bayan ng Pangulo during the Gawad Lingkod Bayani Pagpupugay 2026 of the Civil Service Commission Regional Office XI on September 15, 2026 at Acacia Hotel, Davao City.

The College’s entry, Grupo SerbeHRISyo, was selected as one of the national semifinalists for the 2026 Gawad Lingkod Bayan ng Pangulo. College President Dr. Augie Estrellada Fuentes serves as team leader, with Associate Professor I Felomino Porras Alba as team member.

The recognition was conferred during the regional Civil Service Commission’s Pagpupugay, which honors government employees and teams whose work contributes to improved public service delivery.

Present during the awarding ceremony were DSSC President Dr. Augie E. Fuentes, Associate Professor I Dr. Felomino Alba, College of the Graduate and Professional Education Dr. Harih Lopez, Supervising Administrative Officer Dr. Clara A. Acebes, HRMO III Marie Nicole D. Sombillo, HRMO II Kristoffer Lois Tantano, and Administrative Officer I Anelyn Casalan.

Grupo SerbeHRISyo centers on the integration of service delivery and human resource information systems within the College. Its selection for the national semifinal round reflects the work undertaken by the team in developing and applying systems for institutional service delivery.

The ceremony provided an opportunity for DSSC to formally receive the distinction alongside other government employees and teams recognized by the CSC Regional Office XI.

The award supports Sustainable Development Goal 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) through efforts to improve public service systems and institutional accountability, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through DSSC’s continuing engagement with the Civil Service Commission in advancing public sector service delivery.
