Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) College President, Dr. Augie E. Fuentes honored the College’s teaching personnel in celebration of World Teachers’ Day, recognizing their dedication and continued commitment to educating and shaping the lives of every learner.
In her message, Dr. Fuentes expressed her heartfelt appreciation to the College’s 193 teaching personnel, describing teachers as silent heroes.
Following the convocation, faculty and staff gathered for a simple salo-salo prepared in honor of the teaching personnel. The gathering provided an opportunity for the DSSC community to celebrate and express appreciation for the contributions of its teachers.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Student Council (SSC) prepared a video presentation from different colleges, anchored on the theme “Teacher, ikaw naman,” the presentation highlighted the students’ appreciation for their teachers and their efforts in guiding learners.
The celebration reflects the DSSC’s commitment to Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) by recognizing and supporting teachers who play a vital role in delivering quality and inclusive education.
