The College of Information and Digital Sciences conducted its Capstone Project Public Presentation on campus, June 16, 2026, at the DSSC Gymnasium, gathering fourth-year students who laid out the results of their capstone work before a panel of evaluators from academe and industry.

The event opened with a Plenary Session in which selected proponents, chosen by their capstone advisers, presented their projects to the full audience. The afternoon moved into Parallel Sessions organized under three categories: Governance, Administration and Public Services; Agriculture, Environment and Indigenous Knowledge; and Business, Commerce and Organizational Management.

Evaluators came from several institutions and organizations. From the industry, the panel included Ms. Mylene M. Sabulao of Columbia Computer Center (Davao) Inc., Ms. Katherine C. Panggoy of Sophos Netplay Inc., and Engr. Emerson Cruz of R3HUB Technologies Inc. Academic evaluators included Dr. Arneda Jean Gonzales of SPAMAST Malita, Mr. Jhon Bryan Cantil, MIT, of St. Mary’s College Bansalan Inc., and Engr. Jaime Eduardo Rosal of Cor Jesu College. The presentations covered a range of applied technology projects addressing practical concerns in government, agriculture, and business. The activity is part of CIDS’s effort to prepare its students for work that goes beyond the lab, grounding their technical training in problems that actual communities face.

The event aligns with the college’s commitments to SDG 4 on Quality Education and SDG 9 on Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure.
