



Davao del Sur State College (DSSC), through the Quality Assurance (QA) Office and the College of Information and Digital Sciences (CIDS), recently underwent the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) Online Survey Visit for the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) Level III Accreditation from May 12 to 14, 2026.
The three-day online evaluation through Zoom, gathered accreditors from various State Universities and Colleges (SUC) who conducted a comprehensive assessment of the BSIT program’s compliance with the AACCUP standards.
The accreditation process covered several key areas including instruction, faculty, curriculum, research, extension, library, laboratories, student services, and administration to ensure the quality and effectiveness of the program.
Throughout the survey visit, the accreditors assessed the College’s preparation, organization, and commitment to maintaining quality education, and commitment to maintaining quality education and continuous improvement. During the exit conference, the accreditors provided constructive feedback and recommendations to better prepare DSSC’s readiness for Level III accreditation, and to establish a strong foundation for future Level IV evaluation. They have also extended their support to the College in sustaining its continuous quality improvement initiatives.
The College’s continuous effort to improve the quality of education being offered in the college shows DSSC’s alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 for Quality Education.
