The Office of College Internship at Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) conducted its Industry Partner Summit on February 16, 2026 at DSSC Gymnasium. The activity aims to establish better relationships with other organizations to better support students and interns. The College Internship Office and Guidance Office organized the summit which brought together industry representatives to discuss three main topics: curriculum development, internship program improvements, and employment trends. The event allowed participants to discuss academic training requirements which matched their workforce needs.
Instr. Eumar Jess L Agbon, who serves as College Internship Office Coordinator, described industry partnerships as vital for student workforce readiness which provides students with valuable career possibilities. According to him, the goal of the event is to ensure that students are prepared for the workforce and have access to meaningful opportunities, and to strengthen ties with industry partners that helps DSSC graduates step confidently into their careers. The summit displays DSSC commitment to produce workers who possess proper training to meet new job requirements.
The initiative supports Sustainable Development Goals achievement by establishing better educational pathways towards work through SDG 4 Quality Education and SDG 8 Decent Work and Economic Growth which prepares students for productive work.
