Davao del Sur State College proudly announces that the Regional Development Council XI (RDC XI) has issued Resolution No. 27, Series of 2025, supporting the institutionalization of DSSC’s Coffee Innovation Center as a Regional Research, Development, and Innovation (RDI) Hub.

This milestone strengthens DSSC’s role in science-based, sustainable coffee development by integrating coffee research into agriculture, agribusiness, food technology, and agroforestry programs while fostering strong partnerships among industry, academia, government, and civil society. The resolution emphasizes collaboration, technology transfer, resource allocation, and monitoring systems to ensure long-term impact.

Aligned with the Davao Regional Development Plan (2023–2028), DSSC’s initiative promotes innovation and sustainability in coffee production. It also advances key Sustainable Development Goals, including SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), by empowering local communities, fostering sustainable practices, and building a resilient coffee ecosystem. With RDC XI’s endorsement, DSSC is poised to lead research-driven growth and strengthen Mindanao’s coffee industry for years to come.
