TTPD Completes Three-Day Evaluation of Community-Based Projects in Davao del Sur

From November 18 to 20, 2025, the Technology Transfer and Promotion Division (TTPD) of the Department of Science and Technology - Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD) XI undertook an intensive Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) in the Province of Davao del Sur to look at the current progress of two Science and Technology Community-Based Farm (STCBF) projects. These projects focusing on community livelihoods and sustainable practices are: Sustainable Production and Market Linkage of Smallholder Seaweed Growers Group and Empowering Communities: and Building Resilient STCBF Bamboo Enterprises in Vulnerable Areas.

Davao del Sur State College Receives NCCA Accreditation

Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) has been officially accredited by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) as of October 7, 2024. The accreditation, valid for one year, recognizes the institution's compliance with NCCA's guidelines for accreditation of government agencies, organizations, and public schools. This accreditation allows DSSC to serve as a proponent for NCCA projects and programs, enhancing its ability to contribute to cultural and artistic initiatives in the region. The certificate was signed by NCCA Executive Director, Dr. Eric B. Zerrudo, during a ceremony held in Intramuros, Manila. In adherence to the directive outlined in the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Memorandum Circular No. 24-004, mandating the translation of the one-page Freedom of Information (FOI) Manual into Filipino, in compliance with Executive Order No. 335, s. 1988, which promotes the use of the Filipino language in government transactions, and Executive Order No. 2, s. 2016, which operationalizes the People’s Constitutional Right to Information, DSSC has initiated the necessary steps to translate its FOI manual accordingly. Dr. Roxas also served as the Director for Instruction, overseeing the delivery of quality education to students across all levels.
