About NSTP
The National Service Training Program (NSTP) Office of Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) is committed to shaping responsible, service-oriented, and patriotic youth through meaningful community engagement and nation-building activities. Guided by Republic Act 9163, the NSTP Office oversees the effective implementation of two key program components: the Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS) and the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC).
Through CWTS, students are immersed in community development projects that promote health, education, environment, safety, and moral upliftment. This program nurtures civic consciousness and social responsibility among the youth by engaging them in direct service to communities.
Meanwhile, the ROTC program instills discipline, leadership, and preparedness among student-cadets through military training and disaster response education. ROTC also serves as a training ground for future members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ reserve force.
The NSTP Office plays a vital role in building student character beyond the classroom, anchored in the college’s mission of producing graduates who are not only academically competent but also nationally conscious and socially committed.
