February 17, 2025– Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) has officially launched its 6th Founding Anniversary with a convocation and opening salvo at the DSSC Gymnasium. The celebration follows a series of pre-anniversary activities that began last Friday, February 14, 2025.

 

 

The week-long festivities kicked off with the DSSC CARAVAN 214, featuring capability training and extension initiatives across multiple locations. Other key events leading up to the formal opening included FEB-IBIG 2025: DSSC Hearts' Day Special , the Graduate School Fest, Community Extension Initiatives, the DSSC & SPAMAST- Digos Alumni Homecoming and the Dayug Fun Run 2025: Dagan ug Duyug —which drew hundreds of participants, including DSSC President Dr. Augie E. Fuentes, along with the executive committee, faculty, students, and visitors.

 

 

Today’s official opening also marks the launch of DSSC Innovision 2025: Trade and Exhibits, showcasing research and extension centers, food stalls, and institute displays. The program highlights include the Turn-In-Gate Launching for DSSC’s newly renovated and developed Gate 2, the UNAHCO's Sustainable and Smart Free-range Chicken Farming Seminar , a Coffee Painting Contest, and various student-led activities across the campus.

 

 

With a packed schedule ahead, DSSC will continue to celebrate its growth and impact in the next couple of days, reinforcing its role as a hub for innovation, learning, and community development. With the culmination set to take place on February 21, 2025.
